The first day back for Hancock County CEO was an exciting one! CEO toured the Hancock County Courthouse and attended the Hancock County Bicentennial Celebration Flag Raising Ceremony, celebrating the past and looking forward to the future. 200 years ago, on January 13, 1825, the county was named by an act of the Illinois General Assembly. Hancock County was named for John Hancock, the first signer of the Declaration of Independence and prominent figure of the American Revolution. Excited to be a part of this historic event in Hancock County!
